The pros and cons of geoengineering

Economist : : Despite strong opposition, research into geoengineering is progressing quickly, and the topic even made it into the proceedings of the recent United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity . Geoengineering involves trying to fix manmade climate change without attempting to decrease the greenhouse-gas emissions that caused it, such as by using plants or chemistry to suck up excess carbon dioxide. The Economist discusses several recent geoengineering proposals.
